Plenty of Paris hotels sell an "Eiffel Tower view". Far fewer deliver one worth paying for. Some rooms face the wrong way. Others make you lean out of a window at an awkward angle to catch the tip of the antenna. And the rooms that really do come with a balcony and a clear sightline often belong to grand palace hotels, where one night can cost more than the flight that got you there.
So this list is deliberately narrow. Every hotel here is a boutique property with its own character and fewer than 80 rooms. Every one offers tower views from private outdoor space attached to the room, not from a shared rooftop bar or the lobby. The ranking weighs location, view quality, room design, guest experience and value. Rates shift with the season, so treat every figure below as an approximate planning range rather than a quote.

1. Hotel La Comtesse: the building points straight at the tower
![]()
7th arrondissement, 4 stars, 40 rooms
Architecture does the heavy lifting here. La Comtesse fills a V shaped Haussmannian building on Avenue Duquesne, and the pointed front faces the Eiffel Tower almost head on. Ask for the Comtesse or Royale categories at the tip: the views are full and unobstructed from the bed, and several of these rooms have private balconies. The literary salon theme, drawn from 18th century Parisian culture, feels warm rather than stuffy, and Ecole Militaire and the Champ de Mars are close by. View, character and price line up better here than anywhere else on the list.
2. Hotel La Bourdonnais, freshly reopened
![]()
7th arrondissement, 4 stars, 54 rooms
Few hotels on this list sit closer to the tower's base. La Bourdonnais reopened in March 2026 after a full renovation under the Inwood Hotels group, and the upper floor Eiffel Tower Executive Rooms come with small but well placed balconies looking over the tower and the 7th's rooftops. Inside, it feels like a well travelled Parisian apartment. The in house restaurant serves a solid French menu without pretending to be a destination, which is exactly right for a hotel this size.
3. Hotel Eiffel Trocadero: 17 rooms on higher ground
![]()
16th arrondissement, 4 stars, 17 rooms
Small enough to feel like a private residence. This 18th century building sits on a gentle rise near the Trocadero gardens, so the tower facing rooms look at the tower from a slightly elevated angle, which makes it read bigger and more dramatic. The hotel has held an EU Ecolabel since 2010. Les Jardins du Trocadero handles dinner, the stone walled bar handles the nightcap, and Trocadero Metro is practically at the door.
4. Hotel Marignan Champs Elysees, when the trip calls for a terrace
![]()
8th arrondissement, 5 stars, 50 rooms
The splurge. The Suite Terrace Eiffel on the 7th floor and the Suite Marignan Eiffel on the 6th have large furnished terraces with unobstructed tower views. These aren't Juliet balconies; you could host dinner for four and watch the light show. The street is quiet, between the Champs Elysees and Avenue Montaigne. Luxury without palace formality, at a price that makes sense mainly for a milestone.
5. Le Derby Alma rewards a phone call
![]()
7th arrondissement, 4 stars, 33 rooms
About five minutes on foot from the tower and the Musee du Quai Branly, Le Derby Alma does sleek, contemporary rooms with a fashion forward edge. The catch: only certain upper floor rooms and suites face the right way, so call ahead rather than trusting the booking engine. Rue de l'Universite and Rue Saint Dominique are full of galleries, shops and good restaurants. Design without five star pricing.
6. Hotel Le Walt and the softer view
![]()
7th arrondissement, 4 stars, 25 rooms
Original artwork on the walls, only 25 rooms, a gallery hush. The Eiffel Tower View Rooms frame the tower across Parisian rooftops: gentler and more romantic than the close ups from the Trocadero side, and plenty of couples prefer it. Tower view rooms typically start around 300 EUR, with Les Invalides and the Seine both walkable.
7. Hotel Keppler trades distance for quiet
![]()
16th arrondissement, 4 stars, 39 rooms
A restored 19th century Haussmannian building near the Arc de Triomphe, with interiors that punch above its size: deep colours, textured fabrics, careful lighting. Upper floor rooms facing the tower look across a wide skyline. It's a 15 to 20 minute walk to the tower, but you get a calmer residential street, a well regarded bar and a courtyard garden that shines in summer.
8. Hotel de la Tour Eiffel, where the tower's builders once slept
![]()
7th arrondissement, 3 stars, about 30 rooms
This building once housed workers who helped build the Eiffel Tower, and that story is the draw. On quiet Rue de l'Exposition near the Champ de Mars, the rooms to book sit on the 5th and 6th floors: the Double Room with Eiffel Tower View and the Privilege Room with Eiffel Tower View and Balcony. The view isn't panoramic. The price often dips under 200 EUR in shoulder season, though.
9. Le 12 Hotel, the city centre outlier
![]()
8th arrondissement, 3 stars, 28 rooms
Formerly Hotel WO Wilson Opera and now under new ownership, this one sits near Saint Lazare, far from the tower's residential streets. Yet its upper floor balconies open onto a surprisingly clear tower vista, rare at this price in the 8th. Rooms are small, as you'd expect, but well kept. Pick it if you'd rather be near the Opera Garnier and the big department stores.
10. Hotel First Eiffel Tower and the Rue Cler effect
![]()
7th arrondissement, 3 stars, 25 rooms
You book this one for the street as much as the room. Rue Cler is a beloved pedestrian market street of boulangeries, cheese shops, florists and cafes. Upper floor Eiffel Tower View rooms look across the rooftops from small but well angled balconies, and staff are known for good restaurant tips.
Getting the room you actually paid for
Book the named category, not the hotel. "Tower view" and "balcony" are often separate features, and upper floors matter almost everywhere above. When a hotel's website is vague, email or call before paying. Still weighing Paris against somewhere sunnier? Settle it in our Dubai vs Paris tourist destination poll and cast your vote.
