Stains to Toulouse
Diarra was born and raised in Stains, just north of Paris, but the club that shaped him was nowhere near home. He joined Toulouse FC's academy in 2016, aged 16, and signed his first professional contract on April 21, 2019.
His debut followed on October 30 that year, a 2 to 1 Coupe de la Ligue win over Chamois Niortais. Hardly a grand stage. But it was the start of a long run in the south west, across both Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, and he was part of the squad that took Toulouse back into the top flight.
